Who we are
The Helian Way is a classical, solar-humanist practice for adults (18+). It honours Helios, Hyperion and Phaethon as names and archetypes. It is not the Catholic Church, not SSPX, and not affiliated with the Latin Mass Society (UK) or any church body.
What we do
A calm daily practice, a journal, a page of remembrance for the people you remember, and gatherings. No fee is charged today. You can leave freely at any time.
When
Daily practice, at any hour you choose. Gatherings are announced on this forum.
Where
Online at latinmasssociety.online, from Los Angeles.
Why
- FACT: the Sun is about 4.6 billion years old and slowly brightening. Solar models give Earth roughly one to two billion habitable years before the oceans are lost.
- CLAIM: life may be rare in the universe. This is an open question.
- FAITH: life is worth carrying beyond Earth, by becoming spacefaring and, in time, leaving the solar system. Any superintelligence we build must keep humans at the reins (the Phaethon Rule). Whether such a mind could preserve or restart life is speculation.
- Some of us also hold, as philosophy rather than doctrine, that the universe may be like a dreaming brain.
How it works
Read, practise and talk here. Every claim is labeled FACT, CLAIM or FAITH. Phaethon’s lesson is to take the reins with measure. Adults 18+. Free exit always.
